Nelson Insurance Is Making The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History Free on July 3!

As a thank you to our great clients, Nelson Insurance is sponsoring the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History on Wednesday, July 3’rd and making admission FREE to you, your friends, and family! We’re excited for our second opportunity to sponsor a day this season, and hope you’re able to make it down and check out a great local treasure.

Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History

“This Museum-wide photography exhibition is centered on the theme of identity. Loosely broken into three subthemes: self, social and gender, we present artworks to stimulate reflection and lively discussion. In the 1st floor Lezin Gallery, we take a historical look at the evolution of the family portrait, showcasing both the tools and products of different time periods. Visitors can take their own group portraits in the style of different time periods in an immersive photo booth activity.

On the 2nd floor landing, there are photographs done by children from Watsonville and Live Oak. These self-portraits are combined with historic postcards and other photographic material in collages representing the students’ relationship to their home communities.”

Their exhibits are changing on July 8’th, so this is a great time to get in to see everything one last time!

The museum is located at 705 Front St. in Santa Cruz (Across from Trader Joes)

Free Day thanks to Nelson Insurance Services
